Hi Teachers,

Do you say, 'They are riding bikes' or just 'They are riding' now?

Thanks in advance

Why did you ask which one we say "now"? Do you think that for some reason we have recently started to just say "They are riding"?

If I just say to you "They are riding", how do you know what they are riding? A bike? A rollercoaster? A horse? A motorbike?

Which one is more logical if you think about it?

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. I said 'now', because the question is 'What are they doing now?' I haven't expressed myself very well.
It is more logical to say, 'They are riding bikes' then? Yes!

It is impoosible to say, 'They are riding a bike'. Because there are several people with several bikes. So people are riding bikes. Right?

Yes, it is more logical and correct because you can ride other things as well.
I would suggest

They're riding their bikes

Hope it'll help.

I'd say, "They're cycling".
