[Grammar] Have returned versus return

Dear Teachers

Which one of the following use of "return" is correct? I think 2) is better, as the "return" has not yet happened. What do you reckon?

1) I will give you a call after I have returned to Hong Kong
2) I will give you a call after I return to Hong Kong
