What adjectives can I use to describe the subjects of these sentences?

1) He didn't mince any words!
2) He never sits on her laurels!
3) He didn't bat an eyelid!

"Blunt" crosses my mind for the first one. But I have no idea about the rest.

1) We don't usually use "any" with this phrase. It's normally "He doesn't mince his words" or "I don't mince my words" etc. Yes, it means they are blunt. They don't mess about. They say what they mean.

2) You have mixed up the sexes. It would be very odd if he sat on her laurels. It means that the person doesn't relax even when it appears that he/she has accomplished something. He/she continues to strive for more.

3) The wording is correct. It means that something happened which was probably quite surprising or frightening or shocking but the person in question did not react in any way, he just carried on as if nothing had happened.

If you are looking for just one adjective to replace the idiom, I would go for 1) blunt, 2) not complacent 3) unfazed.

Did you look up all these idioms online, either on Google or in this forum's Idiom guide before you posted the question? Where did you find them?

Yes. The second one would be: "He never sits on his laurels". I want to look for an adjective that is positive. The same as unfazed and blunt. You did me a favor and said "not complacent". Thank you.
Yes I looked up all my dictionaries before posting this question and I found out blunt for the first one.
