Which is more correct, “He hopes he will go to the United states” or “He hopes he can go to the United States of America”?
Can we use “will” when we are hoping for something, like in the sentence I mentioned?

thank you.

Which is [STRIKE]more[/STRIKE] correct?

1. “He hopes he will go to the United States.” [STRIKE]or[/STRIKE]
2. “He hopes he can go to the United States." [STRIKE]of America”?[/STRIKE]

Can we use “will” when we are hoping for something, [STRIKE]like[/STRIKE] as in the first sentence? [STRIKE]I mentioned?[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Thank you.[/STRIKE] Unnecessary. Thank us after we help you, by clicking on the "Thank" button.

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

Please note my corrections above. Both sentences are grammatically possible so, yes, you can use "can" with "hope".

Does "he" refer to the same person each of the four times you used it?
Be consistent - you used "United States" in sentence 1 but "United States of America" in sentence 2. Pick one and stick with it.
When you give us more than one sentence to look at, please number them so it's easier for us to refer to them in our responses.
