Hello,
Yesterday I was editing/proofreading some material for another person, and kept coming across the term, "this is a good opportunity to save money" or variations thereof. I knew from the context and from asking questions that the person meant "earn" and not "save", but no matter how many different ways I tried to explain the difference, I couldn't get across the proper meaning and the difference between the two words.
I would be very grateful if anyone here could suggest a way to help me explain that these two words are not interchangeable and don't mean the same thing.
