Please see my corrections above. It is important to follow these rules of written English at all times:
- Start every sentence with a capital letter.
- End every sentence with one appropriate punctuation mark.
- Always capitalise the word "I" (first person singular).

Your title should have been "I need to write a diary entry about the story The Old Man and the Sea."

When are you going to submit your piece of writing to your teacher?
