I'd like to talk about a Chow Chow dog which my grandparents own. Her name is Miki. Chow Chow dogs are a breed originated from north China. People always liken them to lions because of their fluffy mane, but Miki is more like a brown bear.
I first met her five years ago when I visited my grandparents' home in Shanghai. At first, Miki was a bit shy and guarded. She used to be a stray, and one day, my grandfather adopted her when he saw her wandering around the street. I'm very happy that Miki came to our life because she's changed my grandfather's both physical and metal health.
My grandfather is a homebody and loves listening to music at home. However, Miki gives him motivation to go outside and meet new friends. He's become more talkative and outgoing. Also, taking care of Miki makes his daily routine more regular. He used to stay up late but now he sleeps when Miki does.
Apart from music, he's also developed a new interest of video-making because of Miki. Once, he found out that when he plays a Chinese instrument, she will dance to it. Therefore, he's been recording the dancing and uploaded the videos to the internet. Many viewers find them interesting. I watch them too, and often discuss them with my grandparents. Thanks to Miki, our family relationship's become closer. I really love Miki because she's loyal and dedicated to our family!
