Which of the following is correct? There in the wall of my chamber was a window. There on the wall of my chamber was a window.

Which of the following is correct? There in the wall of my chamber was a window. There on the wall of my chamber was a window.

There was a window in the wall of my chamber.

Window on the wall, I would use in describing a fake window which is painted on the wall. (for example, you can see it in restaurants - a window painted on the wall with a landscape or a city behind it)

You could also just say that there was a window in your chamber, as walls are the usual place for windows.
