In the following dialogue, mark the words containing tonic syllables. Then,
label the tones and explain why you chose them. Use RT for rising tone, FT
for falling tone and FRT for fall-rise tone.

Son: Can I borrow some money?
Father: What? What for?
Son: I need a new mobile phone.
Father: You got your allowance last week! Is it broken?
Son: It is really old.
Father: When I was your age, I did not even have a mobile phone!
Son: If I move the lawn, could I get an advance on the allowance?
Father: Look, I already paid for your new clothes, your watch, your haircut
and your hat.
Son:You are not serious, right?
Father: Where is your mother? Ask her, ok?
Son: Ok.

Can someone help here, I find it har to explain to my students. They are non-native speakers.
