Hello friends, I need your help to clear up doubts regarding the correct writing of the following sentence:

This work is organized as follows: in Section 1 we recall some definitions. Section 2 is devoted to presenting preliminary results. ...

Is it right? Or should I put "the" before "preliminary results" like this:

This work is organized as follows: in Section 1 we recall some definitions. Section 2 is devoted to presenting the preliminary results. ...

In that case, @galois, don't use "the".

What do you mean by "recall some definitions"? How about "explain (the meaning of) some definitions"?
