My advice isn't to put off your home work.

My advice is not to put you off your home work.

"Put off" means to delay.
"Put you off" means make something seem less appealing to you.

Which did you mean?

Find the mistake in it.

Please, put them in meaningful sentences .

Don't put off doing your homework. Do it now so you can enjoy your evening.

If you ever see sausage being made, it will put you off eating it, I assure you.

Hi,

What is the strange thing about sausage? Are you you going to cook sausage or would you simply say him that it's better to make its homework now and not to pospone it.

Am I right Miss. Barbara?

There is no connection between the sausage and the homework sentences. They were examples (at the OP's request) for the difference between "put off" and "put you off" (which means you will develop an aversion to it).

Hello Barb-D,

I understand now better what would you like to say but just for laughing, maybe that person can make its homework and eat some sausages in the same time. Perhaps he or she works better with his or her stomach full. I'm joking but some people work better without the feeling of hungry.

See you later (do not hesitate to corrcet me -I'm still an English's learner)
.;-)

As long as I didn't put you off your lunch.
