Hello!

Could someone please tell me if I can use the phrase 'kick someone's ass' in a friendly conversation?
For example, a guy addresses his friend:
"Hey, bro! I hope you're done with your urgent business so that I can kick your ass on the (ski) slope" (meaning 'I want to go snowboarding with you and finish the trail quicker).

Thank you very much.

As always, context is everything. In the friendly situation you described, such joshing is common and would never be misinterpreted. In different circumstances, of course, it might be seen as unfriendly.
