Hello.

Sometimes when you are tired or frustrated you lie with your stomach touching the bed sheet and your head sunk into the pillow.

Is "sunk" the correct word and also what is the word the position I mentioned?

He flopped down onto the bed, his stomach touching the sheets, sinking his head deep into the pillow.

I think I need to work on the underlined parts.

You need the adverb "facedown".

He flopped onto the bed, facedown, sinking his head deep into the pillow.

Thanks. I also found "prone". Can I use it here too?

He was lying prone on bed.

It needs to be 'on the bed'.

I just spotted that when I went back to reread this thread. I stopped after "Can I use it here too?", assuming that the OP would have read the other thread in which we made it clear that "on bed" isn't used.
