Dear Teachers,

I am using Oxford English Dictionary. I have found a lot of literary words in the dictionary. Should I use them in my writing ? Do you encourage it ?

By the way, do you think one person can be a litterateur and linguistician at the same time ?

Your guidance is highly appreciated.

Thanks :)

If 'litterateur' and 'linguistician' are examples of the the literary words, then no you shouldn't.
If not, perhaps you could tell us some of the words you want to use.
It's generally best to use words you understand - but of course that's not easy when you are learning.
