Hello,

Personally speaking, I don't enjoy making predictions because I am almost always going to be wrong, and on the odd occasion that I'm right, it will still suck.

The way I understand the sentence is "Personally speaking, I don't enjoy making predictions because I am almost always going to be wrong, and even when I'm right, which does not happen very often, it will still be no good" or "Personally speaking, I don't enjoy making predictions because I am almost always going to be wrong, and even when I'm right, which happens from time to time, it will still be no good".

What do you think?

Your index sentence needs quotes or italics. It should be apparent that the reader will initially take your introduction to mean that this is a personal opinion of yours, not a sentence for discussion.

Just a reminder for everyone reading.

Additionally, I would say:

I don't enjoy making predictions because I am almost always wrong.

You've been a member long enough to know that when you quote something you've read on the internet we want to know in post #1 who wrote it and in what context.

I dislike things like "Personally speaking". Unless you are specifically verbalising someone else's feelings or thoughts, it should be taken as read that you are giving your own opinion or knowledge.

Absolutely! That's one one of my pet peeves. (As someone said here recently, the list is growing.) If it isn't you, who is lt?
