I know that it is correct to say "My college roommate was so fat that he could hardly get through (or pass through) the dorm room door." Is it also correct to say "...that he could hardly pass the dorm room door"? Thank you.
It seems to me that "to pass the door" means "to walk by the door", not "to walk through the door." I need to make sure whether I am correct. Thanks again.
