Hi Sir/ Mam,

Can you please tell me whether below sentence is correct or wrong.
Is that right to use 'for' in the below sentence.

"I would like to take Work From Home for today."

Thanks
Chakradhar

The "for" could be omitted.
Why do you capitalise "work from home"?
"Take work from home" doesn't make sense. Do you mean "work from home"?

I don't know what you are trying to say.

I would like to work from home today.
I would like to take work home today.

Thanks for the reply. I repeatedly posted same thing in my Outlook email. I am feeling bad for my bad grammar.
Can you please write a correct sentence taking my words in the sentenses.

We have "Work from Home" option. So i just thought of saying

I would like to take "Work from home" option for today.

Not sure why it is not correct.

Read post #3 again.

I am not a teacher

I know this is one of those sentences which are widely accepted in India but they are grammatically incorrect.
You don't have to feel bad For your bad grammar,it is widely accepted in India.

How about if we ask Native speakers about the below construction
I would like to take"work from home" option today.

And I would like to tell you, chakradhar,"for today" that you have used is word to word translation of its Hindi
translative counterpart,Try to Translate it as you read.English prepositions does not work the same way as the Hindi prepositions.
