Does the above sentence mean that he works not only at Pembroke College, Cambridge, but also at King’s College, London?

It means that his office and any other rooms he uses to do his research are on campus at Cambridge. He also collaborates with people from King's. I doubt he actually ever goes to King's College at all to carry out any kind of research.

The use of 'at' here is not to express a physical location but rather an official position.
