Hi,

Can we say 'Say your name to me' instead of 'Tell me your name' and 'Say your birthday to me' instead of 'Tell me your birthday'?

Thanks.

You can say both of those but it would be obvious that you weren't a native speaker.

If you were trying to hear the pronunciation of someone's name more clearly, you might say "Say your name to me" but it's not the same as "Tell me your name". You probably already know the person's name but you need them to say it again so that you can concentrate on the pronunciation.
