Are the following sentences correct?
Is my understanding correct?

1. She is looking at/watching the kids skiing on the ice.
→The present participle “skiing” indicates an action in progress.
2. She looked at/watched the monkey climb up the tree.
→“Climb” indicates the whole action.
3. They are listening to him play the violin.
4. They are listening to him talking about his adventures.
5. She saw/watched/observed/noticed her luggage thrown out of the house.
6. We heard the same story told several times.

Are those your sentences? (People don't usually ski on ice. They skate on ice.)
