Thomas is a friend of mine. A few days ago I referred a tutoring job to him and he got the job.
Thomas: Hi, Silver. I got the job. Thanks a lot. I now teach the woman's daughter once a week.

Silver: So bad. I don't have any students to tutor now. Someone told me her son would continue to learn from me after the new semester began but now it's one month after the new semester and her son still don't pop up.

This "someone" is my student's mom and she told me her son would continue to learn from me (I taught him during the summer vacation) but her son still hasn't come; it's one month since the new semester began (It begins every September.)
