Hi everyone! I’ve been learning English for many years, and I still find it hard to use phrasal verbs naturally in daily conversations. Do you have any practical tips or common phrasal verbs that are super useful for everyday life? Thanks a lot!

You give your native language as English, @Belinda616. Is that correct?

Not a teacher

Yes, phrasal verbs are very important in everyday English because native speakers use them all the time instead of single formal words. A good way to learn them is not by memorizing long lists, but by learning them in real situations and short sentences, so you understand both meaning and usage.

Some very common and useful phrasal verbs are: get up (wake up), wake up (stop sleeping), turn on/off (start or stop a machine), look for (search), find out (discover), put on (wear), take off (remove or a plane leaving), go on (continue), and give up (stop trying). Practicing them in daily sentences makes them easier to remember and use naturally.

@Srivaaishnavi Srigrishna You are welcome to respond to questions, but you need to clearly indicate that you are not a teacher somewhere in your responses.

The easiest way to do this and avoid having to type it each time it to put it in your signature.
