The definite article with the names of restaurants

Which is the best way to say it: the restaurant Taj or Taj restaurant?

In BrE we would probably just say "the Taj".

There is no definite rule about using an article with a restaurant name. It is common for the definite article to be part of the actual name although we occasionally add it to others.
