One of the meanings of “accessible” is: “a person who is friendly and easy to talk to, even if he is in an important position”

In this context, "approachable" is very close, I think.

Nouns are tricky. "Mentor" and "confidante" carry some of the meaning, but not all -- mentors need not grant access to everyone. "Fellowman" carries the meaning very well, but is literary or somewhat archaic.
