1. how should I understand the word 'there'?
2. Should I understand this context to mean 'People who ...are found' without 'there'?
3. Is the word 'there' an existential there?
4. Can passive voice structure follow the word 'there'?

Context:
There are found people who are short-lived, and those that are long-lived; there are found people who are very sick, and those that are healthy; there are found people who are hideous, and those that are beautiful;
