Hello.

I was wondering whether anybody could help me with this.

I am posting a job listing, and getting slightly confused with the possession rules of an apostrophe.

I know that if I was to write "Three years' experience' that would be correct, but does adding the word "plus", negate the ownership? Does that make any sense? haha.

So should it be:
Three years' plus experience
OR
Three years plus experience

I'm thinking the former, but want to make sure I am correct before posting.

Thanks,

Ben

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

For me, "three years' plus" works in speech but not so much in writing. I would use "Over three years' experience" or "More than three years' experience".

If you must write "three years' plus", then keep the apostrophe.

Thanks for the help emsr2d2 :)
