Hi.

What strikes me is how much we all trusted one another.

I have some questions about this sentence. I've been going over the notes in my notebook. I forget where I saw it because I couldn't find it anywhere.

a) Is this sentence grammatical? If it's grammatical, then I think it should be "What strikes me was how much we all trusted one another". So the correct version should be "What strikes me is how much we all trust one another." Am I right?
b) Is this sentence natural?

Please enlighten me.

It's "What strikes me IS ...." The word "strikes" gets "is".

Your version changes the second clause to present tense. Both are correct.
