To me, the first sentence below seems OK in conveying the intended meaning. What about the second one please? If both are correct, which one is more preferred from a native's point of view?
1. High temperature may have more destructive impacts than low temperature on car batteries.
2. High temperature may have more destructive impacts on car batteries than low temperature.
