I was hoping to get a response from the OP first, but that didn't happen.
Please note that "Worth verb+ing" is used differently.
For example:
A: What do you think of the first Die Hard movie?
B: I liked it. It's worth watching.
Here, B is recommending the movie.
The "it's worth it to + Verb" is also possible, but it has a different meaning.
For example:
A: You paid nearly $300 for that concert?!
B: Sure. It's worth it to watch my favourite rock star live on stage.
Here, B is saying the concert is worth the high price (it's not a waste of money).
