Hello! I would like to ask if the sentence in this given context is correct.

My friend and I were playing a 5v5 game and he got frustrated because one of our teammates kept blaming him until the game ended. Our opponents ended the game pretty easily as they were skillful. To my friend's frustration, he added the one who kept blaming him and when the player accepted the request, he sent him a message that reads "dude, you kept yammering about my performance when you obviously played that game just as badly as I did. Next time focus more on yourself instead of putting the blame on others for your mistakes."

So, my question is: is "you kept yammering about my performance when you obviously played that game just as badly as I did" correct? I don't know why but it just sounds odd to me.

The sentence in question is perfectly fine.

Keep in mind that you blame somebody FOR something.

In BrE I don't think that I have ever heard "yammering" used in isolation. We would be more likely to use "yammering on" as a set phrase.
