The Most Common Mistakes in English Usage (Schaum's Paperbacks)

This book investigates the faults most commonly made in written as well as spoken English. It doesn't dictate the mistakes but only presents it as a guideline. The most bothering errors are covered in this 146 page book; they are listed alphabetically. The author of this book is called Thomas Elliot Berry who is a Professor of English and a prolific author in a great number of fields. In the year 1970, alone, he published three books. He's edited `A Mass Communications Dictionary' and has written many pieces of writing for specialized journals. I found this book very informing and helpful so I would definitely and certainly rate it 7/ 10. I would positively recommend it to all young and old students of English and anyone who isn't very good at English.

A good daily guide on the use of spoken and written english. I use more the written guidance but the book is broken into easy topics for both. As with many schaum's guides it is easy to use and a fantastic aid to anyone who has to produce written english day in day out to a high standard.
