This is not really a book. It's a list of 1029 tips divided into 23 sections. For example Chapter 17 Responding to Insults, Boasting, Insensitivity, Gossip and Other Goofs Hurled at you, Tip 830: Change the Subject advises "When the conversation grows uncomftable, simply change the subject. No explanation or transition necessary".
As each chapter is just a list of tips, I find this book unreadable. The tips aren't exactly enlightening...mostly generalizations which you surely know already?

This isn't just a business book. It isn't just a public speaking book. It isn't just an interviewing book. This isn't just a book about persuasion. This isn't a book about how to succeed by getting the most out of the people around you. This isn't just a book of clever ways to begin conversations at cocktail parties. This isn't just a book about reading non-verbal communication and responding to it.

This book is all those things, and more.

Excellent tips, easy to understand, very readable, and applicable every day. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
