A considerable amount of thought obviously went into the selection of these various pieces. Many of them are quite moving, and there is a rather fun section at the end for " show-offs!" A good purchase,especially for those who love to read aloud and enjoy the beauty of the English language.

This selection of poems, prose, anecdotes,etc., is quite wonderful. It is well put together, has items that I have not been able to find elsewhere in a collected edition and Peter Barkworth's explanations as to why he included each piece are quite good, too.
