Speaking of Survival: Student Book

Speaking of Survival is a flexible four-skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) text designed to provide adults with the language they need in crucial areas. The book covers fourteen topic areas, including transportation, housing, jobs, shopping, repairs, and emergencies.
Each unit features the following sections:
Presentation: Full-color, contextualized illustrations introduce the topic and vocabulary.
Expansion: Oral and written exercises reinforce vocabulary and structures introduced in the previous section.
Cultural Information: two readings re culture followed by true/false question, information and opinion questions.
Activities: Small or individual, discussion,
Practical Guide: outlines helpful information regarding topic in question.
