This is a lovely picture book. It is especially nice for cat lovers. The illustrations are gorgeous watercolor paintings.

Alice the cat has a series of small adventures that lead her to conclude that home is a sweet place to be after all--until the urge to roam strikes again. The prose is clear and rhythmical, but it's the watercolor paintings that really bring this book to life. The last two paintings in particular would make a pretty pair to hang on a wall!
