EDITORIAL REVIEW

Full servant. With his new title, Jacob must attend to Lady Lyssa's every need, venturing into a world of passion darker than he's ever known. As a vampire hunter he wasn't prepared to embrace a world where humans are sexual commodities, but he has adapted. Now he finds the integrity of his soul challenged as he serves his Mistress's needs as fully as he services her desires.

He loves her, though other servants warn against giving her his soul. Everyone knows that Vampires have no regard for humans, so why would a Vampiress bother treating a mere sex toy with respect? But Jacob knows a human servant is far more than that. His Mistress needs a warrior, a friend and a lover. A man who will serve her in all ways, even if he has to betray the priceless treasure of her love.

HEARTBINDING
~ Written on Nov 12, 2009. out of users found this review helpful.

This book was beautifully written. It was nearly 400 pages of love, sacrifice, devotion, and dominance. Joey Hill has out done herself with this series. When I first started reading the first book in this series I was a little....hesitant, but then she gets you invested and involved with the characters. things that you might not be that comfortable with are explained and you start to accept that the characters are real(?). It is a series not to be missed.

Almost Perfect, but not Quite Fullfilling
~ Written on Aug 23, 2009. out of users found this review helpful.

This is the 2nd Joey W. Hill that I have had the pleassure of reading. I absolutely loved the The Vampire Queen's Servant couldn't wait to get started on the sequel.

There were many things I loved about this this book, the use and fleshing out of secondary characters, and deeper understanding of Vampire culture and mores. I loved Gideon and hope that he too gets his own story one day. I loved meeting Mason, Danny, and Dev.

This book was almost perfect except for the ending which left me feeling unfullfilled. Being a vampire was so much of Lady Elyssa's essense and to take that away from her just deflated my literary high at the end of the book and left me shaking my head why. The main character went from being a Lioness at the beginning of the book to a Lamb at the end. I think the readers deserved a better payoff for Lady Elyssa and her Sir Vagabon. Anyhoo, still enjoyed the book tremendously and would recommend as as good read.

Never had my eyes blushed so much

Previous customers did an amazing job in explaining story details, so that's not what this review is about. My experience suits it better. I will say that I am 25 and have read a lot of books about Vampires (young adult) so its usually pg13 stuff. I stumbled upon this book, and the cover alone won me. Within 30 minutes of reading I was hooked. Joey W. Hill unleashed an erotic, full on crazy world of Vampires and Fae. Her choice in the words she used to describe the environment, the outfits, and sexual encounter are riveting. Though sex and bsdm seems to be in this story...many times. Hill continues to use her fresh ideas and not make the scene redundant. It also gave me an insight on why someone would prefer to be submissive/dominant. I applaud this book and even though my eyes blushed on many occasions, a smile always lingered. Anyone who can not handle a descriptive sex scene or violence, need not buy this book. If both intrigue you, I urge you to purchase. Hope this helps.

Wow!

I really loved this book. I couldn't put it down. Don't know why, but I didn't notice that it was a continuation of a story before I bought it. But I can say that I am looking forward to reading the first installment and then this one again.

Lyssa and Jacobs story is beautiful! The mass of obstacles both political and viral are intriguing and create a very different story line.

Loved it, want more!

This book makes for a great gift for that Vampire junkie in your life!

This book makes a great gift for that Vampire junkie in your life! After I read a few pages online I knew she would like it. She read it in one day, good thing I bought her the first two books in the series! Guess I'll have to get her the rest too.
