this book tells you about how to use proper english.You can actually do the activities that are about what you learned so far.It gives you alot of details that help you understand more.Read this book and find out that you have made a big difference in your grammar.

This concise, advanced grammar book is great for my purposes--tutoring young people in the finer points of grammar. Explanations and exercises are helpful as well. It's a good reference, well worth the money.

This is a super book in terms of how the author has organized and delivered. I bought 4 different grammar books. This is the best. Not that others are bad. Just that, this is a super good beginning upon which you can build your knowledge.

This book is a good resource for those who have forgotten (or never learned at all) parts of speech in English.

I love this book. It gives so many examples. It's almost like sitting in a classroom with a "real" teacher. Most books leave you with questions because there isn't a teacher available to help you when you "get stuck". This book comes with the teacher!! It's excellent. I highly recommend it.

P.S. (I am an elementary teacher, and I am studying for the high school English certification exam. This book was all I needed to completely brush up my grammar skills. All I can say is that anyone can follow it, and it gives you a thorough grasp on English grammar.)
