For a first year accounting student, this book offers seemingly complete access to commonly used accounting terms.

Great Reference for Business Owners, Entrepreneurs
~ Written on Feb 13, 2009. out of users found this review helpful.

This book is on my desk bookshelf which is big enough for about 15 key references - 15 out of 100's of books. It usually is all I need while reviewing the company's finances or accounting. Although I have an MBA, often the accounting nuances slip my mind and 99% of the time this reference is good enough to get me back up to speed. The other 1% of the time I have to refer back to my accounting and finance textbooks. I can't speak for the real pro's in accounting but I can speak as a business owner, its a huge help!

Great Reference

Have used this title for many years. Brief, useful, refresher info. I provide it to students in Accounting Department orientation class that I teach.

Easy to use, really helpful

I will keep this brief and to the point. I just started taking some accounting/finance classes and was a bit overwhelmed by all the new vocabulary. Flipping to the glossary in the back of a heavy textbook was inconvenient.
I bought this little, but exhaustive dictionary and now it sits next to me as I study. It makes the perfect companion to my texts. I am very happy I bought this (and others in the series) and will be even happier to put in on the shelf as an addition to my growing finance library.

Very Happy!
