As a teacher of first grade for 28 years, this is an excellent book for introducing the sounds of the letters of the alphabet to children. It works well especially for auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. Children can hear the story, see the pictures, and then color the pictures of the accompanying story. The stories are darling and the children retain the 'names' of the various character names and sounds of the letters long after they are read ! This is a wonderful book for kindergarten or first grade teachers !
