Modifying the Four Blocks for Upper Grades: Matching Strategies to Students' Needs

This book is excellent for helping teachers to create a balanced literacy program in their upper-elementary school classrooms. I have used the techniques in this book for grades 4, 5, and 6, and they have worked wonderfully. The methods just make sense, and they can be incorporated into an existing language arts program.
