Hotter than hot!
~ Written on Dec 15, 1998. 17 out of 19 users found this review helpful.

For those of us teaching literacy through the Braille medium to students in the early grades of public schools, this book is hotter than hot! Anna Swenson has clearly done her hours in classrooms. She explains the approaches to literacy which regular educators take, then she suggests logical and practical accommodations for Braille students. Examples from student portfolios are abundant. Bulleted suggestions are straightforward. Cross references are current and pertinent. End-of-the-book references are in no way redundant with what we already have in our growing literature. Thank you, Anna. I don't know how I've managed without "Beginning with Braille!"
