Increase vocabulary swiftly!

These flashcards are great for people who have already learned the basics in Spanish. I bought these after one year of Spanish instruction at school and they were easy to use. Another review for this product says that the verbs aren't conjugated, but to be realistic... if one verb was conjugated in all the tenses and persons it would use up 103 cards. So unless you know the basics in conjugation (hablar:to speak, hablo:I speak, hablas:you speak...) these cards are relatively useless. For people with minimal instruction however, these are a great asset.

Useful, but not necessarily easy to use

First of all, don't expect to speak in a week, or even a month - unless you are already quite proficient in the language! ;) Keep in mind, this is a product for someone who already knows a lot and mainly wants to review. There is no assistance with pronunciation, for example. The verbs are all infinitives with no conjugation, as another example. On the plus side, the cards are small (3 1/2" wide by 2" high), making them easy to carry around, a few at a time, to have handy for review (of course, this can also make them easy to lose). The color coding is helpful (verb cards are green, for example). Some (most do not) of the Spanish sides of the cards have visual clues (hands for "to applaud", as an example). Once you break open the cellophane covering, there is really no way of tracking if you have all your cards or not. All 1001 are just stacked in a box with no numbering or "inventory list" to help you know if you have misplaced some of them or not. I do use these cards, though, and find them useful as part of a larger set of learning tools.
