EDITORIAL REVIEW

In its mother’s womb, a tiny baby grows, explores the waters, and talks with the angel who is there.

These gentle illustrations and wise words tell the story of that baby and the angel in the waters . . . a story that delights all children, because the journey from conception to birth is their story, too.

A Beautiful Story of Life!
~ Written on Apr 23, 2009. out of users found this review helpful.

Before I purchased this book, I read it online at the angelinthewaters website. I liked what I saw and I ordered a copy. I was so impressed with this book once it arrived, that I ordered two more copies. One copy went to our parish library and the other copies went to grandchildren. I will most likely be ordering more as gifts in the future.

This book is simply beautiful! It is the story of life, and what could be more beautiful. Through the beautiful illustrations we see the baby grow, and the author's gentle words tell the story of the angel talking to the baby.

This book really is for everyone young and old. Children will enjoy this book and realize how very special they are and how they were formed in their mother's womb. It is a wonderful book for kids who are soon to become big brothers and sisters. And, it is a great story about our guardian angels, who are with us from the time of conception until the end of our lives.

I highly recommend this book and would give it 10 stars if I could!

Excellent book

...the story of a baby in its' mother's womb, talking to an angel who is guiding the baby gently through the process until the baby is born, when the angel gradually fades. My children, 6 & 9 still enjoy the story. Wonderfully told!

Too long for little ones? Depends on the child...

I suppose the book is too wordy for some toddlers, but ours has loved reading the whole thing, word for word, since he was about 16 months old. He specifically requests it a few times each week and gets annoyed if we skip parts of it. He still gets a little emotional during the birth scene (until the baby is with Mama again!).

Guess it depends on the child.

A lovely book and a great gift for expectant parents or young children.

Angel in the waters

I purchased this book with another called Who is coming to our house? for an expectant mother who has other young children. In a gentle way it describes the beauty of another life being given to the world, the love between parents and a description from the infants point of view of how he/she grows in the womb. The child describes a presence in the womb that is revealed as an angel who explains various happenings and what the child can expect. I found the explainations and viewpoint to be delightful.

Superb

Simply superb. A simple book telling a beautiful tale. Wonderfully illustrated. My 3 year old and 19 month old love this book. There is not too many words that they get bored. It is large enough for children to hold and read.
