Bryan Kest - Power Yoga, Intensive Body Sculpting

I almost didn't buy this DVD because of negative reviews. I am a big fan of Bryan Kest Power Yoga Complete Collection and have been using it for years. Based on what I read, this one seemed as though it was going to be a big let down in comparison. True, the production is a lot more Spartan. And yes, Bryan Kest is very, very talkative. But the routine is on par with "Power Yoga." The asanas are more or less the same, in the same style, so it will be familiar to those use to the original. I did not find the flow awkward at all as another reviewer mentions. If you are familiar with Kest, you will like this DVD. Plus you already know he likes to talk a lot, so this should not be a big surprise. I am very glad I picked this up.

I ordered this dvd three years ago and have done power yoga with Brian Kest three times a week for three years. I finally wore out the dvd and purchased another one immediately as I could not be without this incredible workout. Two of my daughters purchased this power yoga body sculpting dvd and are devout fans of his workout also. It is educational, healing, and the reason twenty somethings admire my arms at the age of 50! Very much recommend this particular dvd from Bryan Kest.

This was definitely a good workout. I've being doing yoga for about 4 years now and I thought this DVD is challenging, yet fun. I noticed that I was a lot more fleible after about 4 weeks of doing this, 2-3 times a week. It's long enough that I get a good workout in, but it's not too long. Also, he does a really good job of explaining each position and why each one of them is so important. Also, I feel really good after practicing with this DVD. I feel less stressed and I'm able to concentrate more.
I would definitely reccomend this DVD!!

love the original power yoga series with Bryan. This is a great addition and a fun challenge.

I was looking forward to a challenging workout with a beautiful flow. What I got was a discombobulated, off the cuff attempt at a workout. I couldn't even get past the first 15 minutes. I have been a devoted Kest fan since I got the power yoga with the three workouts. The three workout video is truly a piece of art; beautifully choreographed flowing from one pose to another with a continual flow of pertinant advice on posture and how to increase the level of the workout. The intensive sculpting video seems as if it were made by look alike. The continual chatter had very little to do with the workout as in the first. Even worse, the first video is spoken so smoothly and calmly. In the intensive sculpting video Kest somehow speaks as though he has something nasty in his mouth and doesn't even enunciate clearly. The calm embued by the first video is markedly reversed by the hopped up on caffeine, practically vibrating yogi who can't seem to stop. Wishing to find another like the first.
