Perfect for fatties!!
~ Written on Nov 18, 2009. 1 out of 2 users found this review helpful.

As a fat and greasy white woman I find this product to suit my needs perfectly. I even recommended this product to all my fat friends(I'm American). No longer do I feel ashamed for shoveling mass amounts of food into the opening in my face. The only downside is the loss of attention from black males, but what can ya do?

Great instruction for beginners

Excellent introduction telling what the DVD will cover. She gives slow pace movements because it IS for beginners.

A Great Start

I am recovering from spinal surgery and this video has such a slow pace into positions it allows me to work only as much as I can at a time. I would definitely recommend this video.

Good and Not so Good

I agree with another reviewer that this is not really for beginners. There are times when you can't even see the TV to see what it being done and you have to stop, look, listen and then get into the pose only to have her move on to something else. I think to start out a person really needs one-on-one to get the basic positions down, then maybe graduate to this tape when you know what the names of the poses are all about. I did this for a week before I lost interest. Maybe I will pick it up again later; maybe not.

I'm hooked on yoga now
~ Written on Nov 8, 2009. out of users found this review helpful.

This DVD offers lots of great options. The beginning sequences are gentle stretches that teach beginners how to breathe, how to engage the muscles, how to align the body, and just generally how to move into poses. The stretches feel so good that I was hooked as soon as I tried them.
The advanced routines are challenging (at least they are for me, and I'm an absolute beginner). They're challenging enough that I feel like I'm working but not so much that I feel like I can't follow.
Can I say again that I'm absolutely hooked? This is a fantastic intro to gentle yoga.
