hi again and again,

Now, I am studing the American writers and periods. Could you clasify it? ( only the most important periods and writers) There are so many variants on the net. Which one is the real one?

Hello Mad-Ox

I'm not altogether sure about American writers, except in more general terms (e.g. T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound = "modernist", etc.).

But I'll look into it and let you know what I find.

MrP

PS: Sorry about the late reply.

Hello Mirage,

That's quite a big subject. Is there a particular aspect of the influence of Latin on Middle English that interests you?

Best wishes,

MrP

I should have mentioned a very interesting book about the Irish writers of that period: A Colder Eye, by Hugh Kenner.
