I just wanted to ask about Nigel Tomm’s book Shakespeare’s Hamlet Remixed. In that paranoiac-strange-and-somehow-magnetic text the author neglects all the possible English grammar structures. At first sight I didn’t like it, but after some reading I thought maybe it is a next step in the evolution of text/literature/grammar. Maybe you have some thoughts about it?
I haven't read the book on question, but neglecting rules of grammar has a long history in literature. It may work with individual works, but I doubt that it will ever become the next step, because most of the time people will want to read standard text.
