Hello Honore!

The word 'cornetcy' is no longer used, but means the lowest rank of commissioned cavary officer in the British Army.

Dear Teacher,

Would you also please help me for the underlined word in the following sentence?

Thanks and regards.

"In the room next their bedroom there was a confusion of sabers, satchels, sabretaches, open portmanteaus, and dirty boots."
