What can be the difference between "stop horsing around" and "cut the horse shit"?

horse around ( it is used informal) =To indulge in horseplay or frivolous activity

NOTE: as far as I know HORSE AROUND is a Phrasal Verb not an Idiom!!!

e.g. Stop horsing around and get to work.

cut the horse shit ( it is used in a vulgar sense)=Nonsense; meaningless or insincere talk or action;

hi again,

as hungry as a wolf = to be very hungry/starving

e.g. I am as hungry as a wolf. I have not eaten anything since the day before yesterday!

I have some more:

rat on (someone)

- to report someone's bad behavior to someone

The little boy ratted on his friend at school.

And this one as well:

rat race- a rushed and confusing way of living that does not seem to have a purpose

My uncle is tired of being in the rat race every day and he plans to quit his job soon and do something else.

And this one:

in two shakes of a lamb's tail

- very quickly

I promised that I would meet my friend in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

keep the wolf from the door

- to maintain oneself at the most basic level

My friend's part-time job is enough for him to keep the wolf from the door.

Haha, from lamb to wolf!

smell a rat: to start to believe that something is wrong about a situation, especially that someone is being dishonest.

e.g. She smelled a rat when she phoned him at the office where he was supposed to be working late and he wasn't there.

a dumb bunny

- a stupid or gullible person

"He really is a dumb bunny. I cannot believe that he does such stupid things."

I was just looking at smell a rat now!

I don't use snail mail. E-mail's easier;-)

Snail mail??? Hehe!

Take a look at this one:

a road hog

- a car driver who uses more than his share of the road

The person in front of me on the highway was a road hog but I tried not to get angry.

keep the wolves at bay

- to fight against some kind of trouble

The university students were angry and the administration had to work hard to keep the wolves at bay.

THE TRAVEL BUG: a strong desire to travel

Larry's got the travel bug ever since he won that holiday in the Caribbean.

This idiom sounds as if it would be a big adventure! Everything's big for a bug!

eager beaver

- a person who is always eager to work or do something extra

The woman is an eager beaver and I am sure that she will do very well in this company.

every dog has his day

- everyone will have his chance or turn, everyone will get what he deserves

"Don`t worry about him. Every dog has his day and he will eventually suffer for all the bad things that he is doing."
