What is the verb to be used to describe what the teacher is doing in reference to the exam? Does the teacher 'take' an exam from the student or 'hold' the exam?
Here's a dictionary of collocations where there isn't a single word about teachers :

In another dictionary of collocations I have found the words 'to administer', 'to mark' and to 'invigilate' related to the teacher's role at the exam:

Could anyone add some more commonly used vocabulary about the teacher's part at the exam to this list?

It depends on what you want to say.
A student (not a teacher)takes an exam.
A school holds(conducts/administers) an exam.
The teachers give the students an exam.

To arrange an exam.
